Pre-Shipment Inspection Checklist for Belt Conveyor Systems
A conveyor shipment contains many interfaces. The inspection should prove that every packed item matches the released drawing, bill of materials, and order scope.

Freeze the inspection basis
Use the approved drawing list, bill of materials, technical agreement, inspection plan, packing requirement, and deviation log. The inspection should reference released revisions.
| Stage | Evidence |
|---|---|
| Identity | Order line, item, model, drawing revision, quantity, labels |
| Fabrication | Dimensions, welds, fasteners, coating, guards, access |
| Components | Belt, idlers, pulleys, bearings, drive, take-up, cleaners, switches |
| Functions | Rotation, alignment, drive checks, switches, no-load functions where safe |
| Documents | Drawings, manuals, data sheets, inspection records, packing list |
| Packing/loading | Protection, marks, package size and weight, loose parts, loading photos |
Reconcile the complete shipment
Count structural modules, idler sets, pulleys, drive items, fasteners, guards, switches, cables, tools, spares, and documents against the packing list. Photograph package marks and internal protection before closure.
Close deviations before release
Record each deviation against the approved requirement, identify the disposition, and capture reinspection evidence. Release should be explicit before cargo moves to port.
